INTRODUCTION
The most important aspect of economy is the people. Apart from producing
entrepreneurs and the labour required in the factors of production, it is also
people who form the market upon which makes it possible for commerce to thrive.
However, in Kenya as it is in most developing nations, 90% of the population is
economically marginalized, meaning that the economic activities at the base of
the pyramid are low.
This is where we at UFALME WETU comes in. We identified the need to improve
development at the bottom of the pyramid through financial inclusion. We provide
a conducive environment for savings, educate on investing and lend members money
for development goals.
This has resulted in improving livelihoods of over 10,000 people and
injecting over 10 million shillings to the marginalized economy.
